Au Pairs

The Au Pairs are a seminal British post-punk band from Birmingham, formed in 1978 and known for their sharp blend of funk, punk, and political lyrics.

Led by frontwoman Lesley Woods, the original line-up was famously balanced between two women and two men to demonstrate gender equality. After disbanding in 1983, the band remained a cult favourite until a controversial reunion was announced for 2026, featuring Woods and an entirely new backing band
