Acclaimed British bass guitarist, widely regarded as one of the most technically gifted and influential bassists to emerge from the punk and new wave era. He is most famous as a founding member of Ian Dury & The Blockheads, where his "lightning-fast" fingerstyle and intricate 16th-note basslines became a defining element of the band's sound.
