Founded by acclaimed percussionist Sri. Vinod Navadhara (Vinodkumar Sukumaran), Navadhara School of Music is a UK-based organisation dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich traditions of South Indian percussion.
Drawing on a lifelong musical journey rooted in Kerala, Sri. Vinod has inspired and mentored more than 500 students across the UK, nurturing a new generation of musicians through the disciplines of Tabla, Mridangam, and Chenda.
More than a music school, Navadhara serves as a cultural bridge, connecting communities to their heritage through rhythm, performance, and shared tradition. Renowned for delivering powerful and energetic performances, the group has appeared at prestigious events including the London Olympics Torch Rally and the Queen’s New Year Parade.
On 11 November, Navadhara brings its vibrant ensemble of percussionists to the stage, celebrating the spirit of Indian classical and folk rhythms. Through dynamic performances that blend precision, passion, and cultural storytelling, Navadhara continues its mission to keep traditional music alive, relevant, and resonant for audiences of all generations.
